Trivium Packaging is a global leader in metal packaging, with more than 60 locations worldwide in 20 different countries, employing nearly 8,000 people, with annual revenues of approximately US$3 billion; It was created in November 2019 from the merger of the packaging technology companies Exal and Ardagh. The company is headquartered in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.

The company offers innovative and sustainable packaging solutions all over the world, with partner tailored production and outstanding customer focus. Three basic values ​​determine the company's daily operations; passion, teamwork and excellence. Its identity and corporate culture is built along these three values. In addition to these, the company considers sustainabilty one of its most imporant missions - since metal is a material that can be be recycled endlessly.

Following its first anniversery, Trivium Packaging established its regional Service Center in Budapest, which main purpose is to encrease the company's efficiency.

 

- The performance of payroll administration tasks was entrusted to an external service provider. What is the reason for this and on what basis was the service provider selected? 

We decided on NEXON, because they are one of the most innovative payroll and HR software developers and service providers in Hungary. As a start-up company, our recruitment made it necessary to introduce a high-level labor system.

The fact that NEXON has modules that can easily be built on each other played a big role in the decision-making process. That makes the everyday administrative tasks within Trivium Packaging BSC Kft. easier for colleagues and the HR department.

We knew NEXON well from the market, I myself had encountered NEXON solutions during my previous work. Thus, in the first stage of the company's launch, it was decided to make contact NEXON and start working together as soon as possible.


- You introduced NEXON_PORT employee and managment self service system last year. What are your experiences so far? 

Employees are satisfied with NEXON_PORT, the interface is easy to use, clear and user-friendly. The fact that they can set their personal data themselves is also a special help for me, so the solution saves everyone time in filling out the documents issued later.

- To what extent does the NEXONtime work schedule and time registration system makes your work easier? Are you taking advantage of the potential inherent in the solution?

Thanks to the expansion, a time data registration system became necessary, which is fully covered by NEXONtime. Our employees basically work in a normal working schedule, so using NEXONtime with the option of automated time data recording and absence registration is even simpler and faster for both employees and managers.

In addition to all this, we also use the "automatic notifications" function widely to inform employees and their superiors, and the availability of various reports greatly helps managers in their daily work.

We are satisfied with the system and its possibilities.

 

- What are your future plans in HR-IT ?

The unification of our global HR system and the standardization of related processes are currently underway. Therefore, in terms of HR systems, we are currently not planning any further system expansion or the introduction of other modules in the Budapest center.
