HELL ENERGY is one of the world’s fastest-growing FMCG brands. Founded in 2006, the 100% Hungarian brand became the market leader in Hungary by 2010 and has since established itself as a major player in the global energy drink market, exporting to nearly 50 countries.
HELL ENERGY has been our client since 2017. During this time, the company has continuously expanded its NEXON portfolio and has now digitalized almost its entire HR operation. We spoke with Andrea Nagy, HR Director, about their expectations, experiences, and future plans.
- You have been using NEXON Payroll and NEXONtime since 2017. What led you to further digitalize your HR processes?
There were several reasons behind our decision to continue digitalizing our HR processes. First and foremost, digitalization increases efficiency, as automated processes are faster and significantly reduce the risk of errors. Secondly,
it improves data accessibility and transparency, enabling faster and more informed decision-making.
In addition, with employees working across multiple locations, digital systems make remote access much easier—an essential capability in today’s working environment. Finally, modern HR solutions contribute to employee satisfaction by making administrative processes smoother and more transparent.
- What were your key requirements during the selection process?
One of our main priorities was ensuring that the system could be easily integrated into our existing IT infrastructure while supporting more efficient HR processes. This included the ability to capture a wider range of data and generate comprehensive reports.
We also placed great emphasis on having a user-friendly interface and robust data security. Another important requirement was flexibility—the system needed to adapt to our company's specific needs and be scalable to accommodate future expansion or organizational changes.
- Why did you choose NEXON’s solutions?
The primary reason was the comprehensive functionality of the system, which covers the entire HR lifecycle, including payroll, time and attendance management, and employee data administration.
The system’s flexibility and customization options were also key factors in our decision. In addition, NEXON’s extensive experience and expertise in the Hungarian market gave us confidence that the solutions would remain fully compliant with local legislation.
- What has your experience with NEXON software been like? Has it met your initial expectations? How has it changed the way your HR team works?
Our experience with NEXON software has been very positive, and the solutions have fully met our initial expectations.
HR processes have become significantly faster and more transparent, increasing efficiency while reducing the administrative workload.
The automated time and attendance module has been particularly valuable, allowing our HR team to focus on strategic initiatives instead of spending time on manual administrative tasks.
The implementation of the new system has also marked the beginning of a broader HR transformation. The introduction of employee self-service tools and mobile applications has enabled both employees and managers to handle their own HR-related tasks directly. As a result, the operational burden on the HR department has been substantially reduced. This has allowed the HR team to devote more attention to strategic responsibilities, such as talent management and organizational culture development.
Do you have a favorite solution?
If I had to choose one, it would be the mobile application. It has proven to be particularly valuable because employees and managers can access the information they need anytime, anywhere. They can submit leave requests, view payroll information, or even manage time and attendance directly from their mobile devices. This not only saves time but also enhances the overall user experience and employee satisfaction.
- What further opportunities do you see for cooperation with NEXON?
We see several opportunities to further strengthen our partnership with NEXON. One promising area is HR analytics, where NEXON could further expand its reporting and data analysis capabilities to help companies gain deeper insights into workforce trends and performance metrics. This would support management in making more strategic decisions, for example by identifying employee retention opportunities or training and development needs.
There are also several modules within the system that we have not yet implemented. In the short term, our plans include integrating and deploying these additional modules to further extend the benefits of our HR digitalization journey.
