DENSO Manufacturing Hungary Ltd. was founded in 1997 in Székesfehérvár. This was the DENSO group's first investment in Hungary and DENSO's 5th European production plant. The plant with a floor area of nearly 25,000 m2 was completed and handed over in 1998, which has been expanded three times since then, and automotive parts are currently being produced on more than 70,000 m2.
The DENSO group supplies parts to many large vehicle factories worldwide, but it also deals with industrial automation solutions, robot technology, and is also actively involved in the mechanization of agriculture. The company employs more than 4,200 workers in Hungary, who guarantee the excellent quality of their products with their expertise.
Payroll administration tasks have been carried out using the NEXON system for a long time, the partnership has been going on for more than 15 years. We asked HR manager Ágnes Sándorné Bosnyák about the development of HR informatics, HR tasks, successes and challenges.
Recently, the NEXON product portfolio at the company was significantly expanded: NEXONhr, the NEXONtime workinghour registration system and the NEXON_PORT self-service system for employees and managers were introduced. Why did you decide to expand your portfolio and what are your experiences so far?
- Our goal was to create an electronic self-service system that reaches not only office staff, but also colleagues who do not have a company computer. For this, NEXONhr's organizational structure management function was necessary, which became a key element of the development, as we managed to get an accurate picture of the company's organization on a daily basis, serving the approval routes and providing a primary data source for other IT systems operated at the company. This is crucial for an organization of this size.
For years, the annual Cafeteria declaration has been done electronically for our employees with a company email address, but this year we extended it to the entire company with the help of the NEXON_PORT interface, so
the declaration process was much faster and simpler for both users and HR.
- What are your experiences with the NEXON_PORT+ smart phone application?
- Colleagues welcomed the introduction of a state of the art system and more people than expected requested access. They were happy to see, that with a few clicks they can request vacation, view their payslip and personal data, as well as they can track their working hour and leave data.
- To what extent does the NEXONtime working hour registration system facilitate everyday operations?
- At our company, NEXONtime replaced an earlier working time registration system, so in this case the full digitalization did not happen now. The big advantage of the current system is that since the users can see their working time data continuously, they can also partially manage it (e.g. leave requests), so the check at the end of the month is faster and fewer corrections are needed.
- What are your future development plans for HR informatics?
- We want to continue the digital HR direction, in the near future we want to manage performance evaluation and competencies with electronic tools for the entire staff.
