
For nearly 20 years, Alpine's Hungarian subsidiary has been continuously producing complete infotainment systems for car factories in Europe. The products are delivered in the highest quality, contributing to increasing the driving experience. Alpine Európa Elektronikai Ipari Kft. has been using NEXON's HR/IT solutions for its e-HR and labor administration for about fifteen years, and NEXON's product portfolio at the company is constantly expanding. We asked Balázs Jokesz, HR & GA manager, about his fifteen years of experience.
Alpine has been a NEXON partner since 2005. What is the background of this long time of trust?
I joined the Alpine team in January 2019, but since 2006 we have used the NEXON salary system in all my workplaces. It is a market-leading payroll software, easy to use and very user-friendly. It is important that they respond to frequent changes in the law in a timely manner and that the program is regularly updated. I would like to highlight one more thing, and this is the reporting option. The General Inquiry Module is a great help for all HR professionals.
How did the need to introduce an integrated HR system arise?
Alpine Kft. is a Japanese-owned company, so continuous development and increasing efficiency are very important.
An integrated HR system can be operated much faster and more securely
than if we recorded the data in several systems developed by different companies or connected them with an interface.
NEXON's access control system is used to record attendance. What advantage do you see in the NEXONtime system's working time register and absence planner, as well as the schedule planner function?
Previously, we used Classic Time, but in 2018, the company decided to introduce the NEXON4 system and use the new Time in the future. It was my job to coordinate the introduction. In January 2019, we decided to launch the system from April 1. Thanks to the effective cooperation with the NEXON consulting team, we have been using the new Time since the first day of the second quarter. Colleagues quickly liked the new system.
The administration was reduced, so we achieved savings in working time and costs.
Why did you decide in favor of the full implementation of the NEXON_PORT self-service system for all employees? What are the experiences, how did the organizational culture change after the introduction of NEXON_PORT?
Alpine Kft. manufactures the most modern infotainment systems for the largest car manufacturers, so digitization is very important for our company. The implementation of NEXON_PORT began in 2018, which was completed after the NEXON4 system was switched on in the spring. Since then, colleagues can click on the "tiles" to announce data changes, make a cafeteria declaration at the beginning of the year, see their attendance record and payroll here, and download the documents required for tax returns at the end of January. We save a lot of paper and time by using it, and our colleagues like it too. Indirect employees plan their absences through NEXON_PORT, so they do not need to fill out a paper-based leave. This modern solution was quickly integrated into the organizational culture, there is less paperwork and approval is simpler and faster.
What are the experiences of using the system among blue-collar employees?
With the exception of the absence planner, all the aforementioned functions are available to our direct employees. We have placed computers in several places in the factory, but the majority prefer to use them via their phone or their home computer. It is a big improvement that it used to take time to distribute paper-based payrolls, but now everyone can see theirs immediately after publication, even if they are not in the factory.
In accordance with the Hungarian legal environment, e-signatures now also play a role in HR processes; You are also a pioneer in this solution. What are your experiences?
We use the e-signature for documents required for tax returns. It greatly facilitates the work of the HR Department, as there is
no need to print, sign or stamp thousands of pages and distribute or mail them
within a short period of time. Repeated communication is very important here, so that employees do not forget to prepare their tax returns.
What are your further development plans in the field of HR IT?
Smart phone applications are the future, which is why we also use apps in our internal communication. We consider the option offered by NEXON to be a good idea, and we are considering its possible introduction.
